Music, melody and guitar are well connected. Many kids grow seeing images, videos and concerts of great musicians and singers who have an excellent command over many musical instruments; guitar being one of them. The way these performers roll their fingers seems as if guitar is smooth satin. But when you try the same, it is a different story; the difference lies in your approach. Just enjoying guitar classes won’t do the trick for you; you will have to practice appropriately. We will share some techniques with which you will learn guitar not only quickly but in the best manner as well.
- Before you start, go with a plan. Select a place for practice which is devoid of any unnecessary noises. Keep your cell phones off, that way you can concentrate thoroughly on the guitar only.
- Make a time table accommodating 2 hours at a stretch. Practicing every alternate day is good enough, if you are not compromising in the time spent to master the musical instrument.
- We recommend choosing a simple 3 chord song from any genre at the initial stages.
- Go through the instruction manual for 10 minutes prior to the start of practice.
- The next month (fortnight if you practice every day) would require exclusive practice of the song that you have selected.
- After the practice, keep your fingers in lukewarm water so that you are ready for the next day.
- It is advised to practice with an enthusiastic friend (choose an equally eager partner), as after a couple of days, there is a possibility that the practice may become a bit tedious.
Lastly, like any other learning, you will require a mix of patience and dedication to master the beautiful piece of musical ecstasy – the Guitar.
